Hca Tussin Cold & Cough Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Hca Tussin Cold & Cough: this drug is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets & capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed and the chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take this more often then directed.
Hca Tussin Cold & Cough side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. Hca Tussin Cold & Cough Precautions: Tell your pharmacist you're medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any med allergies. cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Hca Tussin Cold & Cough drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you use, especially: pill for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Hca Tussin Cold & Cough Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change at behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Hca Tussin Cold & Cough special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Hca Tussin Cold & Cough dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
Hca Tussin Cold & Cough Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
