Epinephrine Usage: this drug relaxes the smooth muscle in lungs & dilates airways to improve breathing. Its used in treatment of asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema.
How to use Epinephrine: Oral medication may be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Take this medication exactly as prescribed. do not take it more frequently without you're doctor's approval. Excessive use may result in decreased efficacy & increased side effects.
Epinephrine side effects: Dizziness, headache, lightheadedness, heartburn, loss of appetite, altered taste sensation, restlessness, anxiety, nervousness, trembling or sweating may occur but should subside as you're body adjust to the medication. If these symptoms persist or worsen, inform some your pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: chest pain, palpitations, vomiting, breathing difficulties. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Epinephrine Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid gland, epilepsy, diabetes. Tell your doctor if you ever had bad reaction to bitolterol, ephedrine, epinephrine, metaproterenol, phenylephrine, phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, or terbutaline. many nonprescription products contain these drugs (e.g., diet tablets and drug for colds & asthma), so money the labels carefully. do not take any about these pills with-out consulting your doctor (even if you never had problem taking them before). do not allow anyone else to take this drug. Before you use it drug, tell some your physician if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. this pill should not be used unless clearly needed if you are pregnant.
Epinephrine drug interactions: Tell your doctor about every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: drugs used for asthma, antidepressants, cold medications, beta-blockers (e.g., atenolol, propranolol). don't start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Epinephrine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include seizures, fast irregular heart rate, nervousness, dizziness, fatigue, sleeplessness, headache, tremors, dry mouth, nausea, or chest pain.
Epinephrine special notes: If symptoms do not improve or worsen after taking this medication, call your physician immediately.
If you missed Epinephrine dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Epinephrine Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture. some products may require refrigeration. see packaging for exact storage directions, or cash with your healthcare professional.
