    Ibuprofen suspension - oral

    Children's Advil Usage: Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which relieves pain & swelling (inflammation). it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. it medication is also used to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches & pain due to the common cold or flu. it tablet works by blocking the enzyme at your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, and fever. do not give this medication to a child younger then two years of age unless directed to do so by the pharmacist.

    How to use Children's Advil: Shake the bottle well before each dose. Measure out each dose carefully & take it drug by mouth with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless some your physician directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this drug. If stomach upset occurs while taking it medication, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. the dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. in child, the dosage is also based on weight. Read the product instructions to find appropriate dose for some your child's weight, or consult the pharmacist or doctor if you have questions. If repeat doses needed, they are usually given six or 8 hours apart; or as directed by pharmacist. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to two weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits of this drug take effect. If you use this drug for migraine headache, and pain isn't relieved or worsens after the first dose, tell your healthcare professional immediately. If you are treating yourself or giving this medication to kid for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult the healthcare professional immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.

    Children's Advil side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional or healthcare professional promptly. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling about hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in ears (tinnitus). Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, easy bruising or bleeding. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change at amount about urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this medication may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any of following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks love coffee grounds. this drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of the next highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your pharmacist or physician immediately: yellowing eyes and skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

    Children's Advil Precautions: it medication shouldnot be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using it medicine, consult you're pharmacist or doctor if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), high blood pressure, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. this tablet may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase youre risk for stomach bleeding. Consult your pharmacist or pharmacist for more info. it tablet may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. this product can contain sugar. Caution is advised if you have diabetes. Ask your pharmacist or pharmacist about the safe use about this product. Caution is advised when using this medication in elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of the drug, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during 1st 6 months about pregnancy. It's not recommended for use during the last 3 months about pregnancy due to the potential for fetal harm and interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. this medication passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

    Children's Advil drug interactions: Before using it med, tell youre pharmacist or healthcare professional of every prescription and nonprescription products you may use, especially of: alendronate, other medications since arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, HBP drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). check all prescription & nonprescription medicine labels carefully for much of contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which are similar to this drug. If you are also taking aspirin, as prescribed by your healthcare professional for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages 81-325 mg per day), continue to take aspirin and consult some your healthcare professional or healthcare professional before using ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Children's Advil Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

    Children's Advil special notes: don't share it medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed periodically to monitor your progress or money for side effects. Consult your pharmacist for more details.

    If you missed Children's Advil dose: If you are prescribed it drug on regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time of following dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

    Children's Advil Storage: Store at room temperature according to product directions away from light & moisture. don't store in bathroom. Keep every medicines away from children & pets.
