Sodium Chloride Usage: this medication is used to reduce swelling of cornea in certain eye conditions.
How to use Sodium Chloride: Apply this drug to the eye as directed. Apply eye drops to the affected eyes as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper or let this touch your eye. Shake the eye drops before using. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number of drops. watch downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at corner of the eye near nose and apply gentle pressure. this will prevent drug from draining away from eye. Try not to blink & do not rub eye. do not rinse the dropper. Wash hands after use. If you are using another kind of eye drop, wait at least five minutes before applying another medications.
Sodium Chloride side effects: Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for a period after applying the drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Burning or irritation of eye may occur when first applied. If these symptoms continue or become worse, inform you're doctor. Notify your healthcare professional immediately if you develop: redness, pain, swelling in or around eyes, vision problems, sensitivity to light, headache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or physician.
Sodium Chloride Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional if you have: history about eye problems, any allergies. As with any medication, this should be used cautiously during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks and benefits with your pharmacist.
Sodium Chloride drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take. don't start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Sodium Chloride Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Sodium Chloride special notes: If the condition for which it was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after several days, consult your doctor.
If you missed Sodium Chloride dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if Its near clock since next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Sodium Chloride Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Discard this if the solution turns color, cloudy or contains particles.
