Neomycin/polymyxin/dexamethasone - ophthalmic drops

Maxitrol Usage: this tablet is used to treat eye infections.
How to use Maxitrol: for best effects, it drug should be used as directed. Continue using this for full time prescribed. Stopping this medication too soon may not clear infection & could possibly result in reinfection. Apply eye drops to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper or let it touch you're eye. Shake eye drops before using. Tilt you're head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and administer the prescribed number of drops. look downward and gently close youre eye for 1 to two minutes. Place one finger at corner about eye near the nose & apply gentle pressure. this will prevent med from draining away from the eye. Try not to blink & don't rub the eye. do not rinse dropper. If you using another kind of eye drop, wait in least five minutes before applying other medications.
Maxitrol side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn your eyes for a minute or two when applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for a period after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify your physician immediately if you develop: skin rash, eye itching/burning, eye redness/pain, eye swelling, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Maxitrol Precautions: Tell youre doctor your medical history, especially of: other eye problems, any allergies (especially to antibiotics or sulfites). this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician.
Maxitrol med interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Maxitrol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Maxitrol special notes: If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after several days, consult your pharmacist.
If you missed Maxitrol dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use this if it is near clock since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Maxitrol Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Discard this if solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
