Trimethobenzamide - rectal

Trimazide Usage: this tablet is used to control nausea and vomiting.
How to use Trimazide: Unwrap suppository and insert it gently but completely into rectum, pointed-end first. Avoid excessive handling of the suppository so that it doesn't melt before use. it medication is usually used 5 to four times a day. Use this exactly as prescribed. do not increase your dose or use this drug more often than directed.
Trimazide side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness or headache may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your doctor if you develop: jaundice (e.g., yellowing about eyes or skin, dark urine), blurred vision, mental confusion, muscle cramps, skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Trimazide Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially about: high fever, stomach problems (gastroenteritis), swelling/disease of brain (encephalitis/encephalopathy), mineral (electrolyte) imbalance, any allergies. do not give children trimethobenzamide to treat vomiting when the cause of vomiting is unknown. Trimethobenzamide may worsen Reye's Syndrome, rare but serious illness. do not give trimethobenzamide (or aspirin or acetaminophen) to a children with symptoms of Reye's Syndrome (sudden, severe, persistent vomiting; drowsiness or stupor; unusual behavior; and seizures). Call doctor immediately if these symptoms are present. kid and teenagers must not use this pill if they have chickenpox, influenza, or any undiagnosed illness with out 1st consulting physician about Reye's syndrome. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it drug makes you drowsy or dizzy. Limit alcohol intake because it will add to the dizziness or drowsiness effects of this medication. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. it is not known if this medication is excreted into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Trimazide drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine), sleeping pills, tranquilizers, sedatives, barbiturates (e.g., phenobarbital), drowsiness-causing antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine). don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Trimazide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

If you missed Trimazide dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use this if It's near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
Trimazide Storage: Store suppositories at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
