Sodium bicarbonate - oral

Sodium Bicarbonate Usage: Sodium bicarbonate reduces stomach acids and can make urine less acidic. it is used as an antacid to treat heartburn, indigestion, and other stomach disorders. it is also used to treat various kidney disorders & to increase effectiveness about sulfonamides.
How to use Sodium Bicarbonate: Take this medication by mouth as directed. Chewable pills to be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by glass of water. Take this drug exactly as directed. do not increase the dose, take it more often or continue taking this for longer than prescribed.
Sodium Bicarbonate side effects: this tablet is generally well tolerated. However, high doses can cause headache, nausea or irritability. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify youre doctor if you develop: muscle weakness, slow reflexes, confusion, swelling of the feet or ankles, black tar-like stools, coffee-ground vomit. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or doctor.
Sodium Bicarbonate Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, high blood pressure, any allergies. Because it tablet contains a large amount of sodium, remind your healthcare professional if you on low sodium diet. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're doctor. since small amounts of it medication appear at breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Sodium Bicarbonate medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take. this medication has potential to interact with much about medications. do not take any other drug within 1 to two hours of taking an antacid. Discuss this with some your physician or physician. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Sodium Bicarbonate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include irritability, muscle rigidity, & seizures.
Sodium Bicarbonate special notes: If you are using it as an antacid but have trouble taking it, talk to you doctor or pharmacist about the use about a different dose form (liquid versus tablets) or an alternate product.
If you missed Sodium Bicarbonate dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Sodium Bicarbonate Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat, light and moisture.
