Maxipime Usage: this medication is an antibiotic used in treatment of wide variety about bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, pneumonia & skin infections.
How to use Maxipime: it pill is given by injection into a muscle o vein usually two times a day for 7 to 10 days based on type and severity of your infection. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at constant level. Do this by using drug at evenly spaced intervals throughout day & night as prescribed. Continue to use this med since full time prescribed even if symptoms disappear after some days. Stopping medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in reoccurrence about infection. do not use this drug if cloudy.
Maxipime side effects: it drug can cause headache, nausea, dizziness, vaginal yeast infection & irritation at injection site. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify youre pharmacist promptly. Tell your physician immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: mental/mood changes, vomiting, severe stomach cramps, watery or bloody diarrhea, fever or unusual weakness, muscle twitching (myoclonus), unusual bleeding or bruising, yellowing of the eyes or skin. Tell you're physician immediately if you have any of these very unlikely but serious side effects: change in amount of urine, seizures. An allergic reaction to this med is unlikely, but seek immeditial healthcare professional attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: skin rash, hives, severe dizziness, itching, difficulty breathing.. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Maxipime Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: allergies (especially to penicillin, cephalosporins or other antibiotics), kidney disease, liver disease, bleeding disorders, seizure disorders, colitis. Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result at secondary infection (e.g., oral, bladder, colon or vaginal yeast infection). Use in patients under two months of age has not been established. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects about the drug. Tell youre doctor if you are pregnant before using this tablet. this drug is excreted into breast milk in small amounts. Consult with your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Maxipime pill interactions: Tell you're physician of any nonprescription or prescription medication you may take, including: blood thinners, water pills (diuretics), other antibiotics. this medication may interfere with effectiveness of birth control tablets. Discuss using other methods of birth control with your physician. this medication may cause false positive results in tests for sugar in urine. Diabetics should use TesTape rather than Clinitest meds to test for sugar while using this drug. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Maxipime Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe mental/mood changes, muscle spasms, seizures, & coma.
Maxipime special notes: this med has been prescribed for your current condition only. Use this as directed. Make sure needles, tubing and supplies are stored safely and disposed of properly as directed by your care provider.
If you missed Maxipime dose: Try to use each dose as scheduled. If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered but not if Its near the time for the next dose. Instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Maxipime Storage: Store solution in the refrigerator as directed. check the expiration date on the label & properly discard any unused drug after that time.
