first Hydrocortisone Usage: this medication is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching about skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use first Hydrocortisone: Clean & dry affected region before applying drug. To apply, gently massage very small amount of the medication into affected region & surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you instructed to do so by your pharmacist. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on children being treated with this medication in the diaper area. Avoid using this medication around eyes unless directed to do so by some your doctor.
first Hydrocortisone side effects: this drug may cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when first applied to the skin. this should disappear at few days as your body adjusts to drug. it medication may also cause skin thinning and discoloration. If any about these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. Skin infections can become worse when using it medication. Notify your healthcare professional if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
1st Hydrocortisone Precautions: do not use this med near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively is not recommended. do not use if there is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, It's possible this medication will be absorbed at to your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. it is especially true for child & since those who have used it for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies since up to one year after stopping use of this pill. Consult youre doctor or physician for more details. this pill should be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss the benefits & risks with your healthcare professional. Small amounts about it medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.
1st Hydrocortisone drug interactions: Tell you're physician of every medications you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially about: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or healthcare professional approval.
1st Hydrocortisone Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
1'st Hydrocortisone special notes: Inform all you're doctors you use (or have used) this medication. do not share this medication with others.
If you missed 1-st Hydrocortisone dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
first Hydrocortisone Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
