Tri Luma Usage: this combination drug is used to treat melasma on face. Melasma is condition of dark-colored, patchy areas on the skin. it medication may improve you're melasma but Its not cure. Continued exposure to some of causes of melasma (e.g., sunlight, estrogen-type birth control hormones) may cause this to return.
How to use Tri Luma: Before using, gently wash some your face and neck with mild soap/cleanser. Rinse & pat dry the skin. Apply thin layer of medication to the affected area, including about one-half inch of normal appearing skin around affected area, 1 time daily 30 minutes before bedtime; or use as directed by your pharmacist. Rub the medication into the skin gently & completely. it may take up to 4 weeks to notice significant improvement. However, it drug isnt recommended for long-term use (e.g., greater than 8 weeks). If you experience dry skin from using this medication, you may use skin moisturizer to help treat this effect; it is recommended to use the moisturizer at the morning after washing your face. Avoid getting any of it tablet in you're mouth, nose, eyes, or broken areas of skin (e.g., sores). Severe irritation requiring medical attention may occur.
Tri Luma side effects: Skin irritations (e.g., redness, dryness, itching, or mild burning) may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify you're healthcare professional promptly. Tell your physician immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: gradual blue-black darkening about skin (ochronosis), skin blistering or swelling. Tell youre doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: vision problems, headache, increased thirst or urination, unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea, dizziness. at the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice any other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Tri Luma Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: open or broken areas of skin (especially on face or hands), any allergies (especially to sulfites, certain brands of this tablet contain sulfites). Though very unlikely, it is possible it tablet may be absorbed into your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for children & since those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use about it drug. Consult your pharmacist or doctor for more details. your skin condition and this drug may make you more sensitive to effects about sun. it is recommended that you avoid prolonged sun exposure, use sunscreen, & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Avoid the use of sunlamps. Consult your physician or pharmacist for more details. Excessive bleaching of skin, resulting in an undesirable cosmetic effect in those with darker skin, might occur in some cases. Consult you're doctor or pharmacist for more details. this med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with you're pharmacist. Based on information of related tablets, pills in this product may pass into breast milk. Therefore, consult youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Tri Luma med interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: other medicated skin products (e.g., soaps, cleansers, skin tablets, skin-drying cosmetics), hormone-based birth control goods (e.g., birth control pills, hormone implants). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Tri Luma Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. for example tretinoin, when taken by mouth, has caused serious fetal harm during pregnancy.
Tri Luma special notes: don't share this drug with others. Inform all your doctors you use {or have used} it pill.
If you missed Tri Luma dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near time of the next dose, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Tri Luma Storage: Store in room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 & 25 degrees C). do not freeze.
