Epinephrine-type glaucoma eye medicine
Epifrin Usage: this tablet is used to reduce pressure in the eye. It's used at the treatment about glaucoma.
How to use Epifrin: To apply eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination do not touch the dropper tip or let tip touch you're eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer prescribed number about drops. watch downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. If more then one type of eye drop is to be used, wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye med. do not rinse dropper. do not use eye drops that have changed color.
Epifrin side effects: Headache, brow ache, or temporary burning or stinging may occur initially. These effects should disappear as your body adjusts to medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. this med can cause your eyes to be sensitive to bright light. Wear sunglasses. Inform youre healthcare professional if you develop: vision changes, eye pain, sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Epifrin Precautions: These eye-drops may contain a preservative that can cause serious allergic-type reactions in person sensitive to such preservatives. Be sure to read ingredients of each bottle & ask your healthcare professional if this applies to you. If you have had a bad reaction (itching, redness, swelling or inflammation of eyes) to these eye-drops, tell your healthcare professional. Before using these drops, tell you're pharmacist if you have: HBP, heart or blood vessel disease, irregular heartbeat, asthma. this med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. It's not known if this med is excreted into breast milk. Consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Epifrin drug interactions: Tell your physician of every prescription and nonprescription tablets you may use, especially of: all eye medications. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Epifrin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Epifrin special notes: do not use this medication while wearing soft contact lenses. lenses may become discolored.
If you missed Epifrin dose: If you miss dose, apply as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Epifrin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. don't freeze this drug. Discard solution if it turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
