Sochlor Usage: this medication is used to reduce swelling of the cornea in certain eye conditions. it may also be used during eye exams.
How to use Sochlor: Apply this drug to the eye as directed. Apply eye ointment to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands 1st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch tube tip or let it touch your eye. Rolling ointment tube in your hands since minute will make the ointment flow easier. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. Place 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ointment into the pouch by squeezing tube gently. Close eye and roll eyeball in all directions to spread the med. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye. Wipe the tip of the ointment tube with a tissue to remove excess med before capping this. If you using an eye drop in addition to this medication, apply eye drops 1st & wait at least five minutes before applying it eye ointment. If you are using another type of eye ointment, wait at least ten minutes after using this drug before applying it.
Sochlor side effects: Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable since period after applying ointment. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Burning or irritation about eye may occur when first applied. If these symptoms continue or become worse, inform your physician. Notify some your healthcare professional immediately if you develop: redness/pain/ swelling in or around the eyes, vision problems, sensitivity to light, headache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or physician.
Sochlor Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: other eye problems, allergies. As with any drug, this should be used cautiously during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician.
Sochlor medication interactions: Tell some your healthcare professional about every over-the-counter or prescription drugs you use, especially of: other eye meds. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Sochlor Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Sochlor special notes: If the condition for which it was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after few days, consult some your doctor.
If you missed Sochlor dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use this if Its near time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Sochlor Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. Discard it if the solution turns color, cloudy or contains particles.
