Epifoam Usage: Pramoxine is topical anesthetic used on skin to relieve minor pain, itching and discomfort. Hydrocortisone reduces inflammation & itching. this combination medication is used in treatment of certain skin conditions.
How to use Epifoam: this medication is for use on the skin only as directed. don't use large amounts or use it more often than prescribed since chance for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact with the eyes. do not insert or use at vagina or anus. Use sparingly on children or elderly persons since they may be more sensitive to effects of this medication when used in larger amounts. don't bandage, wrap or cover area treated unless you are instructed to do so by you're doctor.
Epifoam side effects: this drug can cause temporary redness or minor irritation when first applied. If these symptoms continue or become worse inform youre doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop swelling, itching or rash where the drug is applied. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Epifoam Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: blood disorders, infections, liver disease, any allergies. Though very unlikely, Its possible this med will be absorbed into you're bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true since children & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of it drug. Consult your healthcare professional or doctor for more details. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with youre doctor. it isn't known if this drug is found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Epifoam drug interactions: Tell you're physician about any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take including any skin products. don't start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.
Epifoam Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Epifoam special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a some days, notify your pharmacist. Inform every youre healthcare professionals you use (or have used) it medication. do not share this tablet with others.
If you missed Epifoam dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Epifoam Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. cash the expiration date on container and discard any expired pill.
