Neomycin/polymyxin/dexamethasone - ophthalmic ointment

Dexasporin Usage: this medication is used to treat eye infections.
How to use Dexasporin: for best effects, this medication must be used as directed. Continue using this for the full time prescribed. Stopping this pill too soon may not clear the infection & could possibly result in reinfection. Apply eye ointment to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands 1st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the tube tip or let it touch your eye. Rolling the ointment tube in your hands for minute will make ointment flow easier. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ointment into the pouch by squeezing tube gently. Close the eye & roll the eyeball in every directions to spread the drug. Try not to blink & do not rub the eye. Wipe the tip of the ointment tube with tissue to remove excess pill before capping this. If you using an eye drop in addition to this pill, apply the eye drops 1'st & wait in least five minutes before applying this eye ointment. If you are using other type about eye ointment, wait at least ten minutes after using this drug before applying it.
Dexasporin side effects: it med may temporarily sting or burn your eyes for a minute or two when 1st applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform you're doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for period after applying eye ointment. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify youre healthcare professional immediately if you develop: skin rash, itching/burning/redness/pain/swelling in or around eyes, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Dexasporin Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: other eye problems, allergies (especially to any antibiotics or sulfites). this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor.
Dexasporin med interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or pharmacist approval.
Dexasporin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Dexasporin special notes: If the condition for which it was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after few days, consult your doctor.
If you missed Dexasporin dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use this if it is near time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Dexasporin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. check expiration date on the tube & discard any expired medication.
