    Nicotine Transdermal Usage: this medication is used as an aid to stop smoking. this is the majority of the effective when used in conjunction with a stop smoking program.

    How to use Nicotine Transdermal: the patch should be applied to clean, dry, non-hairy area on the trunk or upper arm. USD with manufacturer's patient instruction sheet for specific recommended areas of patch application. If necessary, clip hair from site prior to applying patch. Remove the patch from package, peel off the protective strip & immediately apply it to site. Press firmly for 10 to 20 seconds to make sure patch stays in place. Be sure the edges held firmly to the skin. Wash your hands after applying patch. Different brands of nicotine patches vary in length about clock patch is left on skin (e.g., for 24 hours or only while awake). Consult your doctor or pharmacist regarding youre specific patch & you're condition (including cravings, vivid dreams etc.). Remove the patch carefully & dispose of it properly. Apply each new patch to different area to prevent skin irritation. don't suddenly stop using it medication without youre pharmacists approval. some your dose may need to be gradually decreased. You must stop smoking before using the patches & continue not to smoke while using this medication.

    Nicotine Transdermal side effects: this medication may cause headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea or flushing first few days as your body adjusts to the drug. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform your physician. If region around patch becomes red, itchy or irritated, try new site. If the irritation continues or becomes worse, notify youre physician. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: breathing difficulties, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, nervousness, anxiety, tremors. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    Nicotine Transdermal Precautions: Tell you're doctor some your medical history, especially of: heart disease, high blood pressure, insulin-dependent diabetes. this tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your healthcare professional for details. Nicotine passes in to breast milk and has had undesirable effects on nursing infants. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Nicotine Transdermal medication interactions: Inform your healthcare professional about every the medicines you use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: insulin, beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol), propoxyphene, xanthines (e.g., theophylline). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.

    Nicotine Transdermal Overdose: If overdose is suspected, remove the patch. Contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: nausea, vomiting, excessive saliva, stomach pain, sweating, headache, dizziness, confusion, weakness, fainting, difficulty breathing, seizures, rapid/weak/ irregular heartbeat, blurred vision, diarrhea, hearing problems.

    Nicotine Transdermal special notes: Keep this & all medications out of reach of children and away from pets. used patch must be discarded by folding this in half with the sticky sides facing each another. the used patch should than be placed at the opened pouch or aluminum foil & thrown in the garbage. do not allow child access to the discarded patch.

    If you missed Nicotine Transdermal dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Nicotine Transdermal Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
