Ipratropium Bromide Usage: this medication is used to treat runny nose due to a common cold.

How to use Ipratropium Bromide: it is since use in the nose as directed, usually two sprays in each nostril 3 to 4 times a day. don't use this more often or continue using this for longer than prescribed. When first using the nasal inhaler, bottle must be primed. Remove the clear plastic dust cap & safety video. Holding it upright & pointing tip away from the eyes, place thumb in bottom about bottle & the middle and index finger on ether side about the nasal tip. Depress sprayer firmly about seven times until the spray appears. the device will have to be reprimed with 2 pumps if it has not been used for more than a 24 hour period. If device is not used for more than seven days, prime it again with seven pumps. To use a nasal inhaler, 1-st gently blow youre nose to clear nasal passages. Tilt some your head forward, close one nostril by placing finger against side and gently insert the tip about nose piece in to other nostril & point it is tip toward the back and outer side of nostril. Squeeze the bottle to deliver spray. Sniff deeply in through the nostril then out through mouth. Tip your head back since several seconds. Deliver second spray in this same fashion then repeat this procedure for the other nostril. Replace cap & safety clip on bottle. If sprayer gets clogged, remove the cap & safety clip, dry tip and run the nasal tip under warm water since one minute. then dry nasal tip & replace cap & safety clip. Drink a glass of water or juice after using this to help relieve irritated throat or bad taste at the mouth. Avoid spraying at or near the eyes. Vision may be temporarily blurry & eye pain can occur.

Ipratropium Bromide side effects: Nasal irritation or burning, dry nose, bloody nose, irritated throat, cough, bad taste in mouth, hoarseness or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects continue or become severe, inform your pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: rash, trouble breathing, swelling about face or throat, itching, ringing in the ears, a rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

Ipratropium Bromide Precautions: Before using this medication, tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: glaucoma, prostate trouble, allergies (especially to atropine or other belladonna derivatives). Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication. it is not known if the nasal form about ipratropium is excreted in to breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Ipratropium Bromide drug interactions: Tell youre physician about all nonprescription or prescription medication you use, especially of: antispasmodics (e.g., atropine, clidinium, propantheline), antihistamines (often found in cough/cold preparations), meds used for Parkinson's disease. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

Ipratropium Bromide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Ipratropium Bromide special notes: this medication provides relief about runny nose usually within one hour. it does not stop sneezing or a stuffy nose. it container is designed to deliver approximately 165 sprays.

If you missed Ipratropium Bromide dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use it if Its near the clock for the next dose. Instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Ipratropium Bromide Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light as directed. Keep out of reach about children.
