Tussin Maximum Strength Usage: Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant used to relieve dry, hacking cough.

How to use Tussin Maximum Strength: Take it drug by mouth as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed.

Tussin Maximum Strength side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, or stomach ache may occur the first some days as your body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, nervousness, confusion. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.

Tussin Maximum Strength Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: lung problems (e.g., asthma, emphysema), allergies (especially drug allergies). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. for small amounts of it drug are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Tussin Maximum Strength medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you use, especially of: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.

Tussin Maximum Strength Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Tussin Maximum Strength special notes: If the cough worsens, last for longer than one week or is accompanied by a high fever, notify your physician.

If you missed Tussin Maximum Strength dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the clock for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Tussin Maximum Strength Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
