Uni Hist DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Antitussives are cough suppressants used to relieve a dry, hacking cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat and itchy, watery eyes. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & another respiratory illnesses.

How to use Uni Hist DM: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more much times than directed. it drug is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.

Uni Hist DM side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur 1st several days as youre body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

Uni Hist DM Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, allergies (especially drug allergies). check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain it product has PPA. it med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with youre doctor. since small amounts of it pill found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Uni Hist DM drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), narcotic pain med (e.g., codeine). Limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this drug. don't start or stop any medicine with out doctor or healthcare professional approval.

Uni Hist DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, abnormal tongue or eye movement, slurred speech, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, slow or shallow breathing, change in amount of urine, unconsciousness, hallucination, sleeplessness, itching, or seizures.

Uni Hist DM special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Uni Hist DM dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Uni Hist DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
