    Nicotine Usage: this tablet is used as an aid to stop smoking. it is most effective when used in conjunction with a stop smoking program.

    How to use Nicotine: the patch must be applied to clean, dry, non-hairy area on trunk or upper arm. check with the manufacturer's patient instruction sheet since specific recommended areas about patch application. If necessary, film hair from site prior to applying patch. Remove patch from package, peel off protective strip & immediately apply it to site. Press firmly for 10 to 20 seconds to make sure the patch stays in place. Be sure edges are held firmly to the skin. Wash your hands after applying the patch. Different brands of nicotine patches vary in the length of time patch is left on the skin (e.g., for 24 hours or only while awake). Consult your doctor or healthcare professional regarding your specific patch and your condition (including cravings, vivid dreams etc.). Remove the patch carefully and dispose about this properly. Apply each new patch to different area to prevent skin irritation. don't suddenly stop using this pill with out your physicians approval. your dose may need to be gradually decreased. You must stop smoking before using patches & continue not to smoke while using this med.

    Nicotine side effects: it medication may cause headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea or flushing 1st few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform some your healthcare professional. If region around the patch becomes red, itchy or irritated, try new site. If irritation continues or becomes worse, notify your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: breathing difficulties, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, nervousness, anxiety, tremors. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or physician.

    Nicotine Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: heart disease, HBP, insulin-dependent diabetes. this medication isn't recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your healthcare professional for details. Nicotine passes in to breast milk and has had undesirable effects on nursing infants. Consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Nicotine drug interactions: Inform some your healthcare professional about every medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: insulin, beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol), propoxyphene, xanthines (e.g., theophylline). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Nicotine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, remove the patch. Contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: nausea, vomiting, excessive saliva, stomach pain, sweating, headache, dizziness, confusion, weakness, fainting, difficulty breathing, seizures, rapid/weak/ irregular heartbeat, blurred vision, diarrhea, hearing problems.

    Nicotine special notes: Keep it & all meds out about reach of children and away from pets. used patch must be discarded by folding it in half with the sticky sides facing each other. the used patch must than be placed in the opened pouch or aluminum foil and thrown in the garbage. do not allow children access to discarded patch.

    If you missed Nicotine dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Nicotine Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
