    child Ibuprofen Usage: Ibuprofen is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which relieves pain & swelling (inflammation). it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this medication is also used to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches & pain due to the common cold or flu. this pill works by blocking the enzyme at your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, and fever. don't give this pill to kid younger than 2 years of age unless directed to do so by healthcare professional.

    How to use children Ibuprofen: Shake bottle well before each dose. Measure out each dose carefully & take this med by mouth with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless youre healthcare professional directs you otherwise. don't lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. If stomach upset occurs while taking this drug, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. in children, dosage is also based on weight. Read product instructions to find the appropriate dose for you're child's weight, or consult the doctor or healthcare professional if you have questions. If repeat doses needed, they are usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by the doctor. at certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to two weeks, taken regularly, before the full benefits of it medication take effect. If you use this drug for migraine headache, & pain isnot relieved or worsens after the first dose, tell your healthcare professional immediately. If you treating yourself or giving this pill to a kid for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult the doctor immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.

    child Ibuprofen side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional or pharmacist promptly. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing at ears (tinnitus). Tell youre healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, simple bruising or bleeding. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. it drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any of the following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your healthcare professional or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks love coffee grounds. this drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult you're pharmacist or pharmacist immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this medication is unlikely, but seek immeditial medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or doctor.

    child Ibuprofen Precautions: it drug shouldnot be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your physician or doctor if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using this pill, tell your healthcare professional or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), high blood pressure, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. this pill may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol and tobacco, especially when combined with it medicine, may increase some your risk since stomach bleeding. Consult youre doctor or physician for more info. this drug may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. it product may contain sugar. Caution is advised if you have diabetes. Ask your physician or doctor about the safe use about it product. Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of drug, especially stomach bleeding and kidney effects. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during 1st 6 months about pregnancy. it is not recommended for use during the last 3 months of pregnancy due to the potential for fetal harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss the risks and benefits with you're doctor. this tablet passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    kid Ibuprofen drug interactions: Before using this medication, tell your doctor or doctor of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially of: alendronate, other pills for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, HBP drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). check all prescription & nonprescription medicine labels carefully since many contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which are similar to this drug. If you also taking aspirin, as prescribed by your doctor for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages are 81-325 mg per day), continue to take the aspirin and consult you're physician or pharmacist before using ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    child Ibuprofen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

    child Ibuprofen special notes: don't share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed periodically to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Consult youre doctor for more details.

    If you missed child Ibuprofen dose: If you are prescribed this tablet on regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If Its near the time of next dose, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    children Ibuprofen Storage: Store at room temperature according to product directions away from light and moisture. do not store at the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children & pets.
