H C Tussive D Usage: this medication has decongestant which relieves nasal stuffiness & a narcotic antitussive used to suppress a cough. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use H C Tussive D: Take this tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. it medication is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.
H C Tussive D side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, constipation, nausea or stomach upset may occur the 1st several days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. Notify youre healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, tremors, nervousness, mental confusion, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this med causes you to feel drowsy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
H C Tussive D Precautions: Tell some your physician your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, depression, a history about drug dependency, allergies (especially drug allergies). this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of it medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
H C Tussive D drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: medication for blood pressure, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, cimetidine. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
H C Tussive D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, numbness & tingling of hands and feet, irregular heartbeat, weakness, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or unconsciousness.
H C Tussive D special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed H C Tussive D dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
H C Tussive D Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
