Biotussin Ac Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Codeine is used to quiet a cough. this combination med is used to control cough & congestion associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How to use Biotussin Ac: Take this medication with food if stomach upset occurs. Take it med as directed. don't increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. this is a strong cough med & must only be used for the condition & by person for which it is prescribed. it shouldn't be used for just any cough. it is helpful to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

Biotussin Ac side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the first some days as youre body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.

Biotussin Ac Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Because this medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since it isnt known if this tablet is found in breast milk; consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Biotussin Ac drug interactions: Tell some your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping pills, seizure tablet, muscle relaxants, pills for depression, cimetidine, quinidine. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Biotussin Ac Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold and clammy skin, dry mouth, and slow pulse.

If you missed Biotussin Ac dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the doses.

Biotussin Ac Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & heat. do not store in bathroom.
