H C Tussive Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use H C Tussive: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase youre dose or take this more often then directed. this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack.
H C Tussive side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur 1st few days as youre body adjusts to medication. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
H C Tussive Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or quick heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
H C Tussive special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed H C Tussive dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
H C Tussive Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
