Biotuss DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. it combination drug is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Biotuss DM: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting pills must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.

Biotuss DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify you're pharmacist if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or healthcare professional.

Biotuss DM Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. it drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Biotuss DM drug interactions: Tell youre doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or healthcare professional approval.

Biotuss DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.
