Maxifed G Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Maxifed G: Take this drug by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew drug. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. don't increase the dose or take it more many times or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Maxifed G side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1'st several days as youre body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre physician. Notify youre healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because it drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.
Maxifed G Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're physician. it isn't known if it drug appears at breast milk; consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.
Maxifed G drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for high blood pressure. Tell youre healthcare professional if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Maxifed G Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Maxifed G special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Maxifed G dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost clock since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Maxifed G Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom.
