Tussin Severe Congestion Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. it combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How to use Tussin Severe Congestion: Take this medication by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this med as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

Tussin Severe Congestion side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1'st some days as some your body adjusts to medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your physician. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because it medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or physician.

Tussin Severe Congestion Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're pharmacist. It's not known if this med appears in breast milk; consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Tussin Severe Congestion drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, tablet for high blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.

Tussin Severe Congestion Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.

If you missed Tussin Severe Congestion dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Tussin Severe Congestion Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. don't store in bathroom.
