    Hydralazine - injection

    Hydralazine HCL Usage: this drug relaxes & dilates (expands) blood vessels resulting in lowered blood pressure. It's used to treat high blood pressure (high blood pressure).

    How to use Hydralazine HCL: Use this medication exactly as prescribed. Try to use this at same times each day. do not stop using this medication with out consulting your physician. some conditions may become worse when tablet is suddenly stopped. your dose may need to be gradually decreased. it is important to continue using this pill even if you feel well. most human with HBP do not feel sick.

    Hydralazine HCL side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, constipation, loss about appetite, fatigue, & nasal congestion may occur as your body adjusts to medication. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Though unlikely to occur, inform your doctor if you develop: chest pain, muscle aches, shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling about hands or feet, yellowing of eyes or skin, swollen glands, joint pain, change in amount of urine. this med may cause numbness or tingling of the fingers & toes. If this occurs, notify some your healthcare professional. vitamin B6 supplement (pyridoxine) may be recommended. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

    Hydralazine HCL Precautions: Tell you're doctor your medical history, especially of: heart conditions, blood vessel problems, kidney disease, allergies (especially drug allergies). this med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. it isn't known if hydralazine passes into breast milk. Consult with your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Hydralazine HCL drug interactions: Tell your physician of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: propranolol, metoprolol, diazoxide. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    Hydralazine HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include rapid heart rate and headache.

    Hydralazine HCL special notes: it is important to have youre blood pressure checked regularly while using this drug. Learn how to monitor you're blood pressure. Discuss this with your doctor.

    If you missed Hydralazine HCL dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up. Contact your physician if 2 or more doses are missed.

    Hydralazine HCL Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight.
