How to use Codeine Phosphate: it medication is given by injection under skin or in to a vein or muscle by health care professional. Codeine Phosphate side effects: this medication causes drowsiness, dizziness, floating feeling, headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation, blurred vision, or trouble sleeping. Codeine Phosphate Precautions: Before using this, tell youre physician if you have had: head injury, heart disease, lung disease, seizure disorder, breathing disorder, a history of tablet dependency, any allergies. Use caution driving or performing tasks requiring alertness since this medication can cause dizziness, drowsiness, and blurred vision. it is recommended to avoid the use of alcohol while using this drug. this tablet should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Codeine has been shown to possibly cause birth defects in the 1st trimester. Discuss risks & benefits with you're physician. this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to effects of this drug. Use this with caution. children should not be given this drug intravenously (IV).
Codeine Phosphate drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any nonprescription or prescription tablet you may take particularly: other narcotic pain relievers, tranquilizers or medication for sleep, medication for anxiety or depression, cimetidine. don't start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
