Tri Acting Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Decongestants (e.g., pseudoephedrine) help relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Tri Acting: Take this medication by mouth as directed. don't increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. Its recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Tri Acting side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness or headache may occur first several days as youre body adjusts to the drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify you're pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.
Tri Acting Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: heart problems, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating or an enlarged prostate, seizures, allergies (especially drug allergies). Because this drug may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. It's not known if it pill appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Tri Acting med interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take, including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, HBP drugs. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) in the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Tri Acting Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Tri Acting special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Tri Acting dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Tri Acting Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & sunlight. don't store in bathroom.
