Actigall Usage: Ursodiol is used to prevent and treat formation of certain types of gallstones or for liver disease (biliary cirrhosis).
How to use Actigall: Take it medication exactly as directed. it is important to take each dose & not to skip doses. do not increase dose or take it more often than prescribed as side effects can result. do not stop using this medicine with-out consulting your healthcare professional.
Actigall side effects: Notify your physician if you experience any of the next effects: diarrhea, severe stomach pains (especially at upper right side), nausea, vomiting. other side effects include stomach upset, loss of appetite, gas, headache, tiredness, trouble sleeping, dry or itchy skin, sweating, thinning about hair, cough, runny nose, metal taste in the mouth, muscle pain, nervousness or depression. These effects may disappear as your body adjusts to medication. If they continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Actigall Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: liver disease, any allergies. Before using this drug, notify some your healthcare professional if you are pregnant. Its unknown if ursodiol is excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Actigall drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially: estrogen, birth control tablets, medication to reduce cholesterol levels (such as cholestyramine, clofibrate, or colestipol), aluminum antacids, sucralfate. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Actigall Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include severe diarrhea.
Actigall special notes: special diet may be prescribed to help reduce the formation about new gallstones. Follow the diet closely. Laboratory tests may be performed to monitor therapy. don't share this tablet with others.
If you missed Actigall dose: Take any missed dose as soon as possible or double next dose & resume your regular schedule.
Actigall Storage: Store in room temperature & keep away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
