Actifed Allergy Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Actifed Allergy: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless some your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or are accompanied by high fever, notify your physician. don't increase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Actifed Allergy side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify some your healthcare professional if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing at ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or physician.
Actifed Allergy Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, HBP, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, medication allergies. money this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your healthcare professional promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. do not give it med to kid younger than 6 years of age unless directed to do so by doctor.
Actifed Allergy drug interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional what medications you take, especially of: HBP drugs, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy med. do not take it drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within last 2 weeks. don't start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Actifed Allergy Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount about urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms about overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

If you missed Actifed Allergy dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
