Trifluridine eye drops

Trifluridine Usage: this medication is used to treat herpes virus infections of eyes.
How to use Trifluridine: Use this drug in the eyes as directed. To avoid reoccurrence of infection, finish the prescribed treatment, even if the eye looks normal. do not continue using this for longer than prescribed. Apply eye drops to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands 1-st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer prescribed number about drops. watch downward & gently close your eye since 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at corner of the eye near the nose & apply gentle pressure. this will prevent the medication from draining away from eye. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye. do not rinse dropper. Replace cap after use. If you using another kind of eye drop, wait at least five minutes before applying other medications.
Trifluridine side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn your eyes when first applied. If the irritation continues or becomes bothersome or condition for which it was prescribed does not improve within seven days, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily unstable since few minutes after applying this. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Unlikely but if vision problems persist, notify you pharmacist Notify you're pharmacist if you develop skin rash, itching, eye pain or redness in or around the eyes while using this. this may indicate an allergic reaction. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.
Trifluridine Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: other eye problems (including glaucoma or cataracts), infections, any allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. It's unlikely this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Trifluridine drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any nonprescription or prescription drug you use, especially of: other eye medications. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.
Trifluridine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Trifluridine special notes: it is best to avoid wearing contact lenses while using it drug.
If you missed Trifluridine dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as remembered; don't use it if It's near the time since following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Trifluridine Storage: Tightly replace cap after each use. Store in the refrigerator between 36 & 46 degrees F (2 to 8 degrees C). Discard this if solution isn't clear or colorless.
