Profen Ii DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat a cough and relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Profen Ii DM: it medication is best taken with full glass about water after a meal or snack. Swallow long acting pills & capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. Take it med as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often then directed.
Profen Ii DM side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Profen Ii DM Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. USD it product's ingredient list since phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. this drug may be excreted in to breast milk. Consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Profen Ii DM medication interactions: Tell your doctor about all prescription & nonprescription medications you use, especially: medication for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Profen Ii DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or quick heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Profen Ii DM special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this pill. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Profen Ii DM dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if Its near the time since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Profen Ii DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
