Maxifed Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Maxifed: Take this drug by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the med. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take it drug as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. this is recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Maxifed side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1'st several days as your body adjusts to medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this pill may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or doctor.
Maxifed Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with you're healthcare professional. it isn't known if it medication appears in breast milk; consult some your physician before breast-feeding.
Maxifed drug interactions: Tell youre doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, pill for depression, medication for HBP. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.
Maxifed Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Maxifed special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Maxifed dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Maxifed Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom.
