Neomycin Polymyxin HC Usage: this medication is used to treat certain infections of the outer ear.
How to use Neomycin Polymyxin HC: for best effects, this drug must be used as directed. Continue using it since the full time prescribed. Stopping this med too soon may not clear infection and could possibly result in reinfection. do not use it pill more many times or continue to use it for longer then directed. Apply ear drops to the affected ears as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper tip or let this touch your ear. If the med has been refrigerated, hold the bottle at your hand for few minutes to warm it. Lie on your side or tilt affected ear up. Place dropper directly over the ear & administer prescribed number of drops. To help the drops roll into the ear, in adults, hold earlobe up and back and in kid, hold earlobe down & back. Keep head tilted for about two minutes or insert a soft cotton plug if directed to do so. do not rinse dropper.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC side effects: it drug may temporarily sting or burn your ear for minute or 2 when applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify some your physician immediately if you develop: skin rash, itching, burning, redness, swelling or pain in or around the ears. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or doctor.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have any of the following conditions: infections, allergies (especially to antibiotics or sulfites). it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, consult your pharmacist.
If you missed Neomycin Polymyxin HC dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC Storage: this may be stored in the refrigerator or at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. Discard this if the solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
