Trifedrine Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Trifedrine: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. it is recommended to drink plenty about fluids while taking it med, unless youre physician instructs you otherwise. If symptoms don't improve after 7 days or are accompanied by a high fever, notify your physician. don't increase dose or take this more frequently then recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Trifedrine side effects: can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth and nose. These effects should subside as you're body adjusts to med. If they persist or become bothersome, inform you're physician. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Trifedrine Precautions: Tell your doctor some your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, pill allergies. money it product's ingredient list since phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Trifedrine drug interactions: Tell your doctor what pills you take, especially of: hypertension medications, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain med, another cold or allergy med. do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. don't start or stop any medicine with out doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Trifedrine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in kid may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms about overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

If you missed Trifedrine dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
