Iophen Dm Nr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. this combination drug is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Iophen Dm Nr: Take it drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.

Iophen Dm Nr side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st several days as youre body adjusts to pill. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. Notify youre physician if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this pill makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Iophen Dm Nr Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. since small amounts of it medication are found in breast milk, consult youre physician before breast-feeding.

Iophen Dm Nr drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.

Iophen Dm Nr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

Iophen Dm Nr special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Iophen Dm Nr dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Iophen Dm Nr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
