Iophen C Nr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Codeine is used to quiet cough. this combination medication is used to control cough & congestion associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How to use Iophen C Nr: Take this tablet with food if stomach upset occurs. Take this med as directed. do not increase dose or take this more often or longer than prescribed. it is strong cough pill & must only be used for the condition & by person for which this is prescribed. this must not be used for just any cough. this is helpful to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

Iophen C Nr side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Iophen C Nr Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Because this drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since it isn't known if it medication is found at breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Iophen C Nr drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping meds, seizure med, muscle relaxants, meds for depression, cimetidine, quinidine. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or pharmacist approval.

Iophen C Nr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold & clammy skin, dry mouth, and slow pulse.

Iophen C Nr special notes: do not share this product with others.

If you missed Iophen C Nr dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the doses.

Iophen C Nr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & heat. do not store in the bathroom.
