Uni Cof Exp Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. the decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. this combination drug is used to treat cough & relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Uni Cof Exp: this drug is best taken with, or after, a meal or snack. Take it drug as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more much about times than directed.
Uni Cof Exp side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur the 1-st some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.
Uni Cof Exp Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of med dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it medication causes you to feel drowsy. check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your healthcare professional promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this product should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Uni Cof Exp drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure medications, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Uni Cof Exp Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Uni Cof Exp special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Uni Cof Exp dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time since the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Uni Cof Exp Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
