Iophen Dm Nr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination drug is used to treat a cough associated with the common cold, allergies and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Iophen Dm Nr: Take this tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting pills should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed and chance about side effects will be increased.

Iophen Dm Nr side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking it medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

Iophen Dm Nr Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. it pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. since small amounts of this drug are found in breast milk, consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Iophen Dm Nr drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.

Iophen Dm Nr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

Iophen Dm Nr special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Iophen Dm Nr dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Iophen Dm Nr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
