Biltricide Usage: this drug is used to treat infections due to parasites (e.g., schistosoma and liver flukes).
Biltricide can be used also for: it drug may also be used to treat some tapeworm infections.
How to use Biltricide: Take this medication by mouth, with food, as directed by you're doctor. do not chew tablets. this med has bitter taste and is better tolerated if swallowed quickly with liquid during meal. Dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. Notify your healthcare professional if your condition does not improve after few days.
Biltricide side effects: Dizziness, headache, drowsiness, tiredness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and increased sweating may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Unlikely but report promptly: rash, seizures, fever, joint or muscle pain, stomach pain, bloody diarrhea, rapid heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.
Biltricide Precautions: Tell your pharmacist you're medical history, including: allergies (especially drug allergies), certain eye infections (ocular or spinal cysticercosis), seizures, liver disease. Limit alcohol intake, as it may intensify certain side effects about this drug. Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring alertness (e.g., driving) during therapy & for 24 hours after the last dose. Tell your pharmacist if you are pregnant before using this drug. this pill is excreted into breast milk. Nursing mother's must temporarily stop breast-feeding on day of therapy and since 72 hours after taking last dose. Consult you're physician for details before breast-feeding.
Biltricide drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of every prescription and nonprescription medication you use, especially about: oxamniquine, carbamazepine, phenytoin, dexamethasone. Also report the use of medications that cause drowsiness such as: sedatives, tranquilizers, psychiatric medications (e.g., certain antidepressants or chlorpromazine), anti-seizure tablets, certain muscle relaxants, narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine). Antihistamines found at many cough-and-cold products. USD labels carefully and ask your physician about safe use of you're medicines. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or physician approval.
Biltricide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Biltricide special notes: do not share it tablet with others. Urine and stool samples may be examined and other tests may be done periodically to monitor your progress.
If you missed Biltricide dose: It's important you do not miss any doses. However, if you miss dose, contact youre doctor or healthcare professional promptly to establish new dosing schedule.
Biltricide Storage: Store at or below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
