Mylantex Double Strength Usage: this is an antacid that works at the stomach to neutralize & reduce acid. Antacids used to treat an upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion, or sour stomach; to treat peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or other conditions caused by an excess of stomach acid; & to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.

How to use Mylantex Double Strength: Take it drug as prescribed. Taking too many an antacid can reverse the effects & more acid will be secreted. in certain conditions, however, it may be necessary to take antacid as frequently as every 1 to two hours. To be effective, chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by full glass of water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. do not take any another drug within 1 to two hours of taking an antacid. since antacids coat the stomach, they can prevent other drugs from being absorbed properly if taken at the same time.

Mylantex Double Strength side effects: this pill may cause nausea, loss of appetite, constipation or diarrhea, weakness, or headache. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify your pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you notice black, tarry stools while taking this medication. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Mylantex Double Strength Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney problems.

Mylantex Double Strength medication interactions: Tell youre physician of every prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: tetracycline, ferrous sulfate (iron), drugs used since arthritis (e.g., aspirin, indomethacin), digoxin, isoniazid, pseudoephedrine, diazepam, methenamine, ketoconazole. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

Mylantex Double Strength Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fatigue, weakness, severe nausea and vomiting, loss about appetite, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or loss of consciousness.

Mylantex Double Strength special notes: Refrigerating liquid antacids may improve taste. do not freeze. If you dislike the taste about one antacid, talk to your physician or pharmacist about switching to similar product. the liquid antacid forms work faster and are more effective than other forms. However, chewable meds may be more convenient.

If you missed Mylantex Double Strength dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Mylantex Double Strength Storage: Store pills, capsules & powdered forms at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of it med.
