    Guaifenesin with codeine - oral

    (gweye-fen-eh-sin with ko-deen)

    Simular Drugs : Iophen, Iophen C Nr, Iophen C Nr, Iophen DM, Iophen Dm Nr, Iophen Dm Nr, Iophen Nr, Iophen Nr

    Iophen Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Codeine is used to quiet cough. this combination medication is used to control cough and congestion associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

    How to use Iophen: Take this drug with food if stomach upset occurs. Take this medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more much times or longer than prescribed. this is a strong cough med and must only be used since the condition & by human for which It's prescribed. it should not be used since just any cough. It's helpful to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.

    Iophen side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

    Iophen Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Because it medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol. it tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since It's not known if this drug is found in breast milk; consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.

    Iophen drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take, including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping pills, seizure tablet, muscle relaxants, pills since depression, cimetidine, quinidine. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Iophen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold & clammy skin, dry mouth, & slow pulse.

    Iophen special notes: do not share it product with others.

    If you missed Iophen dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the doses.

    Iophen Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & heat. do not store in bathroom.
