    Guaifenesin with codeine - oral

    Halotussin Ac Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Codeine is used to quiet cough. this combination medication is used to control cough & congestion associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

    How to use Halotussin Ac: Take it medication with food if stomach upset occurs. Take this medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more many times or longer than prescribed. it is strong cough medication & must only be used for the condition & by person for which It's prescribed. it should not be used for just any cough. Its helpful to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.

    Halotussin Ac side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the 1st few days as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or physician.

    Halotussin Ac Precautions: Tell your pharmacist you're medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Because this med can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol. this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since it isnt known if it medication is found in breast milk; consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Halotussin Ac medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping pills, seizure medication, muscle relaxants, drugs for depression, cimetidine, quinidine. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

    Halotussin Ac Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold and clammy skin, dry mouth, & slow pulse.

    Halotussin Ac special notes: don't share this product with others.

    If you missed Halotussin Ac dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost clock for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the doses.

    Halotussin Ac Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & heat. do not store at the bathroom.
