Recombinate Usage: Antihemophilic factor is a protein in blood necessary in forming clots to stop bleeding. Persons with hemophilia have low levels of this protein leaving them susceptible to bleeding episodes. this medication is used to temporarily prevent or control bleeding episodes in patients with hemophilia.
How to use Recombinate: this medication is given by injection into a vein. the rate of injection depends upon patient response but is generally injected over 5 to 10 minutes. the powder & dissolving fluid should be warmed to room temperature before combining if they were refrigerated. After adding dissolving fluid, swirl vial gently to completely dissolve powder. don't use mixed solution if you find any floating particles at it or this discolors. pill should then be started within 1 to 3 hours depending on product. it may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. dose & frequency of use of this medication will be determined by youre condition, weight and situation. Follow your doctor's instructions closely & be sure to ask any questions you may have about this therapy.
Recombinate side effects: this med is generally well tolerated. Mild chills, nausea & irritation at the injection site may occur. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Recombinate Precautions: Tell your physician some your medical history, especially of: other illnesses, allergies (especially to animal proteins). You should check you're heart rate before & during injection. dose or rate of infusion may need to be changed if your heart rate is too fast. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre pharmacist. Its not known if this med is excreted at to breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Recombinate drug interactions: Tell you're physician of all over-the-counter & prescription medications you may use. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.
Recombinate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Recombinate special notes: Blood tests will be done frequently to determine dosing & evaluate effectiveness of this med.
If you missed Recombinate dose: this is important that each dose be used as directed. If you miss dose, contact you're healthcare professional to establish a new dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Recombinate Storage: Store the drug according to manufacturer's instructions. check expiration date on the label & properly discard any unused med after that time.
