Altarussin Usage: it drug is used to relieve a dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in the lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Altarussin: Take each dose about this drug with full glass of water. Water will also help break-up mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking it medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. do not take it drug for a chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your doctor. If the cough lasts for more then one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, headache or rash, consult youre doctor.
Altarussin side effects: this medication may cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or doctor.
Altarussin Precautions: If you have any of the next health problems, consult your doctor before using this drug: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre physician. Its not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult some your physician before breast-feeding.
Altarussin drug interactions: Tell your doctor about every medicines you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect the results about certain lab tests. Be sure you're caregivers are aware you use this medicine before lab tests performed. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Altarussin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, and unusually slow heartbeat.
Altarussin special notes: this medication comes in variety of dose forms such as meds, capsules, long acting pills or capsules & a syrup. Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist to recommend best product for you.
If you missed Altarussin dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if this is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
Altarussin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this med. do not store syrup in the refrigerator.
