Gentacidin Usage: this drug is used to treat infections of eye (ophthalmic) or ear (otic).

How to use Gentacidin: Use this as prescribed. Continue using this for the full time prescribed. Stopping therapy too soon may result in a reinfection. To apply eye or ear pill, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper or tube or let this touch the affected area. Shake drops well before using. Hold the ointment tube in you're hand for a few minutes to make the medication flow easier. EYE med: Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. for drops, place dropper directly over eye & administer prescribed number of drops. look downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. With eye ointment, place medication inside lower lid using a sweeping motion. Close eye & roll the eyeball. Remove excess ointment with a tissue. Try not to blink & don't rub eye. If you are using another kind about eye drug, wait five to ten minutes before applying. EAR drug: Lie on your side or turn affected ear upward to make application easier. Place the prescribed number about drops in ear. Avoid touching the ear canal. Keep ear tilted for one to 2 minutes. small piece of clean cotton may be placed in the ear to prevent drops from escaping.

Gentacidin side effects: this medication may temporarily sting when 1'st applied. If this effect persists or worsens, inform your doctor promptly. in the unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, redness, swelling or discharge (including eye or ear area), trouble breathing. Gentacidin Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional your medical history, especially: every previous eye or ear problems, if you use contact lenses, any allergies. Vision may be temporarily blurred after applying eye med. Use caution driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. it & all tablets should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy or when breast-feeding. Consult with you're doctor if you pregnant or breast-feeding.

Gentacidin drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about every pills you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: silver preparations, every other eye or ear antibiotic or corticosteroid (e.g., hydrocortisone) drugs. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Gentacidin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Gentacidin special notes: Throw away any unused part of your prescription. do not save it to use for another infection. do not allow anyone else to use this tablet. the infection may spread to other person if you accidentally contaminate the drug.

If you missed Gentacidin dose: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use if Its almost clock for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Gentacidin Storage: Depending upon the manufacturer, the product may be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. Ask you're physician. don't store in bathroom. do not freeze.
