Recofen Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination drug is used to treat a cough associated with common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Recofen: Take this tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & chance about side effects will be increased.
Recofen side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1'st few days as youre body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify youre doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking it med: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this med makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.
Recofen Precautions: Tell some your healthcare professional you're medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of it drug are found in breast milk, consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.
Recofen drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Recofen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.
Recofen special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Recofen dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if Its near time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Recofen Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
