Cheratussin Dac Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. the decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. this combination medication is used to treat cough and relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Cheratussin Dac: this medication is best taken with, or after, meal or snack. Take this drug as prescribed. don't increase youre dose or take this more often than directed.
Cheratussin Dac side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur first several days as your body adjusts to the med. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit some your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
Cheratussin Dac Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it medication causes you to feel drowsy. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult some your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. it product must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. at least one about ingredients at it combination product is known to be excreted in to breast milk. Consult some your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Cheratussin Dac medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take, including: blood pressure pills, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Cheratussin Dac Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Cheratussin Dac special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Cheratussin Dac dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if Its near time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Cheratussin Dac Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom.
