Pink Bismuth Usage: it medication is used to treat indigestion, nausea, diarrhea; to relieve stomach cramps and to prevent traveler's diarrhea.
How to use Pink Bismuth: the liquid form of this drug must be shaken well before pouring each dose. Chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly or dissolved at the mouth. Non-chewable tablets & caplets must be swallowed whole with a glass of water. the dose may be repeated all 30 minutes to one hour as needed but no more than 8 doses should be taken in a 24 hour period.
Pink Bismuth side effects: it drug is generally well tolerated. Stools may appear gray-black in color while taking this medication. do not be alarmed. this will disappear when the medication is stopped. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Pink Bismuth Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional if you have: other illnesses, allergies (especially drug allergies). this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare professional. since small amounts of this medication found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Pink Bismuth drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: aspirin, blood thinners, tetracycline antibiotics, medications for diabetes, medications for gout. don't start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Pink Bismuth Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include ringing in ears, dizziness, confusion, and coma.
Pink Bismuth special notes: If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve after two days or becomes worse or if fever is present, notify your healthcare professional.
If you missed Pink Bismuth dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if this is near the clock since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Pink Bismuth Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. liquid may be stored at refrigerator to improve taste, but it isn't necessary. do not store in the bathroom.
